Valentine’s Day is about connection, care and meaningful moments. One of the most nurturing ways to show love is through touch, whether that’s a shared massage experience or a thoughtful massage gift. In this guide, I’ve rounded up some of my favourite massage oils and self-care gifts that are perfect for Valentine’s Day.

Give the gift of a massage this Valentine’s
Massage is more than a physical treatment — it’s a gift of time, presence and connection. In a busy world, offering someone the chance to slow down, feel cared for and truly relax is incredibly meaningful. Whether shared between partners or given as a moment of self-care, massage encourages closeness, reduces stress and creates space for deeper connection. It’s a thoughtful, nurturing gift that says I care about your wellbeing in the most loving way.
Give the gift of touch 💛
This Valentine’s, treat someone you love (or yourself!) to a massage experience with Nurtura Collective — or even more romantically, a session where I teach you how to massage your partner.

My Favourite Massage Oils
As a massage therapist, I’m often asked what my ‘go-to’ oils are. Here are a few of my favourites — nourishing, beautiful to work with, and wonderfully aromatic.

WELEDA Arnica Massage Oil
A soothing oil that’s gentle on the skin and great for easing tight muscles. Ideal for use before and after physical activity to help keep hardworking muscles warm, supple and supported. Apply pre- or post-exercise to help reduce cramps, muscle tension and soreness.

Songbird Naturals Lavender Massage Wax
One of my personal favourites. This lavender massage wax melts into a warm, silky oil that glides over the skin, while the soft scent of lavender creates a deeply calming and intimate atmosphere. Perfect for slow, luxurious massage and shared moments.

How to Massage Respectfully
Massage should always be a consensual, comfortable and relaxed experience for both people. Take time to ask what feels good, move slowly, and pay attention to your partner’s cues. Use gentle, flowing strokes, warm the oil or wax in your hands before applying, and avoid any areas that feel sensitive or unwelcome. Creating a calm space with soft lighting, a candle, gentle music and a warm blanket can help both of you feel at ease. Respectful massage is about presence, care and listening — not pressure or performance.
